The Katama Bay breach is displaying interesting geological processes. On both sides of the opening, capes have formed, arching into the bay. The eastern one has attached back onto the beach right below the Wacks house, forming once again what is historically known as the Wasque Swan Pond. The opening is about 300 feet wide, with plenty of free flow of water.
