The Democratic Council of Martha’s Vineyard elected new officers last month.

Jonathan Chatinover was elected chair of the council, known to most as the MV DEMs. Beth O’Connor was elected vice chair.

Susanna Sturgis, the sitting secretary, and Nicola Blake, the treasurer, were both reelected. All four are longtime Vineyard residents and active Democrats, according to a statement from the group.

The council holds meetings on the Second Saturday of every month at 9:30 a.m. via zoom. The meetings help get out information on Democratic positions and issues.

“As we look towards the crucial 2024 elections, we will need many voices to come together,” Ms. O’Connor said. “MV Dems meetings often feature our elected officials or local and regional activists. They’re a great way to learn more and find out how to get involved.”
