The winds from the weekend have gone and I am thinking I might open the windows for a bit today. I did it last week and the house was so fresh. The cat loved it and it certainly lifted my spirits.

Happy Birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Lethicia Diniz, who celebrated March 4; Theodore Foran, Domminy Ribeiro and Grace Seguin on March 5; Violet Dello Russo on March 6; Benjamin Brown, Luiz Magri, Jhady Pereira and Theo Pereira on March 7; and to Addison McDonough and Keira Willoughby who celebrate their day on March 10.

A group of us play trivia on Monday night at the Barn in Oak Bluffs. This past Monday, Ellen Blodgett picked me up and we went to Oak Bluffs on Beach Road. We noticed the moon over the school from my driveway and commented how full it was but when we made the curve at Bend in the Road, it really presented itself so that you could not help but stare at it. (I was not driving.) The tide was high and the water was almost to the road and you could hardly see the grass. Over the pond the sun was setting and you just did not know which way to look. We drove slowly so we could enjoy the view — and so did the other cars.

It is nice to have the street busy again with kids back to school after their winter vacation.

Francis (Sandy) Fisher and grandson Francis went to Boston to see the musical Hamilton. They loved it and had a great time together.

Mark and Ella Blodgett had a father-daughter trip to Portugal. They have been planning this trip for a while and made it happen. They were able to visit Lisbon, Carvoeiro and Evora.

Charlie Leighton, his daughter Erin Leighton Huckins, her husband Jim and son Charlie went north to Conway, N.H. Little Charlie did well on his skis, they went to Ice Castles and, of course, did some shopping. They had a great family trip.

Don’t forget to check out the new newsletter from the library this month.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
