The Norton Point breach is steadily migrating eastward. Erosion at the house site has practically ceased as the wave action has moved out of reach. The opening will soon be opposite the Wasque parking lot. In the meantime, the bluff in the area of the old beach access road is rapidly falling away.

Dana Gaines made a circumnavigation of Chappquiddick on Tuesday. Passing through the breach into Katama Bay from the Atlantic Ocean was akin to surfing, he said.
