She started her bus journey in Tacoma, Wash. She texted me from California, Arizona and now Albuquerque, N.M. My dear friend Tracey Cruz, also known as TAC, will be visiting me for the winter. I cannot wait to hear of her adventures on the road.

Sad news reached me from my Old Country of White Plains. Nancy Taylor Hantman — a great neighbor and friend of my mother and me — has passed. Nancy was a most interesting and refined lady. She graduated from Skidmore, loved animals and worked as an administrative assistant in New York City. She made exquisite quilts. Her two indoor cats and the eight outdoor neighbor cats who came for free breakfast all had little quilts personally made by Nancy for them. I shall miss her greatly.

Get well wishes continue for Reymundo Garza.
