The family of Jon Sullo is organizing a GoFundMe fundraiser to help with his mental health journey.

Mr. Sullo is 40 years old and grew up on the Island, moving to the Vineyard in 1994. In the GoFund me post, his family wrote that he found joy on the Island “in sports, fishing, animals and family.”

Mr. Sullo suffered a jet ski accident when he was 14 and was diagnosed with schizophrenia at 19 years old. The family, including siblings Nicholi, Anthony and Gabrielle, is looking to raise money to afford “alternative programs and therapies for Jon outside of mainstream mental health.”

“We are here asking for donations to help fund Jon to attend a holistic mental health residential center, receive quality alternative therapies, lab testing, supplements, nutritional support, travel expenses and to get him his very own therapy dog.”
