Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands will celebrate National Mentoring Month with a party at the Barn Bowl and Bistro on Saturday, Jan. 20 from noon to 2 p.m.

Bowling and lunch will be free for Bigs and Littles, and attendees will receive a gift card package from local establishments.

The Island hosts approximately 40 Bigs and Littles, the organization wrote in a press release, and the event both celebrates those involved and welcomes others who are interested in joining the program.

“With 16 kids waiting for a mentor on Martha’s Vineyard, 15 of them boys, [Big Brothers Big Sisters] is in urgent need of male-identifying volunteers,” the organization wrote.
