We had wonderful, glorious sun. It is amazing how much of a mood swing that sun can bring about. More energy, people smiling and people outside walking. Now we just have to take care of the wind. But the days are now longer by a half hour.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Tieman Crowell and Ethan Thibodeau who celebrated Feb. 3; Gloriannie Amaral-Espinoza and Olive Rosbeck, Feb. 5; Joao DaSilva and Maria DaSilva, Feb. 6; Lucille Morrison, Feb. 7; Harper Kelly, Feb. 8; and to Isabella Hill and Finnian Welch who celebrate on Feb. 9.

Special birthday wishes go out to Zack Waller and his mom Pat Waller who celebrated a milestone birthday this past week. Zack, who lives in England, flew in and prepared a surprise party for Pat. Family and friends gathered at Linda Jean’s for the celebration, which totally surprised Pat. It was a great night for both Zack and Pat.

Like I said a few weeks ago, you know it is winter when a big outing is going to the Stop & Shop. I get so mixed up in there that I forget or can’t find the things I want and end up going a few days later. But it is a great way to see people you have not seen in a while. We laugh and try to help each other find things but one thing we all agree on it has been the best way to get our steps in.

The nice thing with the sky getting lighter and even if it is cold, the kids at the Boys and Girls Club are in the playground after school longer and the guys are playing soccer again. It is always nice to see the activities going on again. Plus, if they take notice, they can catch some nice sunsets.
