The Chappy Point to Point foot race is this coming Sunday, June 30. The race originates at Wasque at 8:30 a.m. The course runs along the main road and runners will be on the route until 10:30 a.m. You will want to avoid the main road during that couple of hours Sunday morning.

Hard to believe that the Fourth of July is next Thursday. Fingers crossed for fair weather this year. The parade route runs along North Water street. Therefore, starting at 4:15 p.m. until the parade is over, no vehicles will be carried on the ferry. Foot passengers and bikes will be carried during the parade. The ferry stops running altogether during the fireworks.

Mark your calendar now so that you don’t miss the annual Chappaquiddick Island Association meeting on Saturday, August 3 from 9 to 11 a.m.

It’s worth checking the Chappy Community Center calendar regularly. There are loads of events and activities scheduled. The deadline to submit photos of Chappy for the 2025 calendar is Friday July 26.
