Household hazardous materials will be collected at the Chappaquiddick Community Center this Saturday, July 20 from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Google MV Refuse District for details on which icky stuff is accepted. I can tell you for sure that they don’t take latex paint. Open the lid, let it dry out and then it goes in the regular trash.

Though the summer is nearly over from my point of view, there are still lots of events and activities planned at the Chappaquiddick Community Center. See the CCC website or the bulletin board on the porch for details about all of the great opportunities for entertainment, exercise and eating offered by the devoted staff. Labor Day is only seven weekends away so make the most of it.

The Chappy Tennis Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of July 27 and 28. The coveted Plumb Cup is again up for grabs. The tournament will be played at the CCC and various courts around Chappy.
