The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

July 11

Eric Neuhoff, 66, of Edgartown, was arraigned on July 8 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was released on personal recognizance and has a pretrial hearing on August 1.

July 15

Stanley Merry, a 64-year-old homeless man, was found guilty of July 15 charges in Tisbury of trespassing and breaking and entering for a misdemeanor. He was sentenced to five days in the house of correction, a sentence that was already deemed served.

July 18

Kara Simmons, 45, of Mashpee, was arraigned on six counts of vandalizing property in Oak Bluffs on July 16. She was released on personal recognizance and was scheduled to have a pretrial hearing on July 25.

Daniel J. Leventritt, 66, of Chilmark, was arraigned on a July 18 charge in Tisbury of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over. He was released on personal recognizance and has a pretrial hearing on August 29.

Jefrey DuBard, 51, of Chilmark, was arraigned on July 16 charges in West Tisbury of operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was released on personal recognizance and has discovery compliance and jury selection hearing on August 5.
