It’s cold down on the harbor at 15 degrees! I put up a sign at the ferry that says, “Extreme low tempuratures may hamper service.”

I spelled temperature phonetically. I was thinking of the tempura booth at the fair when I was making the sign. I apologize if I offended anyone’s feng shui. Reminds of way back 50 years ago when I made the first “please turn off your headlights sign”. For lack of room on the sign board, I spelled lights in the abbreviated form, lites. Faith Churchill refused to comply. She said that she just could not condone such laziness.

I was up in Maine visiting my brother this past weekend. I’m looking forward to temperatures in the teens. When I got in my truck to come home Wednesday morning, my truck said that it was a mere 2 degrees. As they like to point out up here, it’s a dry cold.

The Chappy Community Center potluck supper had to be postponed another week as the heat is still not working in the great room. Hoping for it to be fixed for next week. Look for a posting on Chappychat and a sign at the ferry.
