Yes, it is still cold, the wind is still blowing and the ponds are surprisingly not frozen. I went by Jernegan Pond and it looked frozen, but you could still see some mushy spots that did not look safe. So please be safe.
Happy Birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Larissa Diniz and Paige Banks who celebrated Jan. 25; Diego Da Silva, Josephine Bicknell and Laislla Lemes on Jan. 26; Alexander Wallace on Jan. 27; Thales Fernandes, Julianna Hagerty and Heitor De Oliveira on Jan. 29, and to Katherine Carroll, who celebrates her day on Jan. 31.
Once again, it is the time of year when stores are closed, people are traveling down south and those of us who are still here are pretty much in the home if we are not working or have to do errands.
I have been home and I have been researching for news and find most people are happy at home keeping warm and puttering. I am catching up on the spiders that have been busy in my house and cellar while I was at work. I also found that there are a lot of people doing puzzles, and I saw on social media that there is someone putting together a group of people interested in trains. He got a great response and I hope if they all get together they can do a great exhibition. It will also bring a lot of people together, both young and old, and form some great friendships.
I go to trivia on Monday nights at the Barn, Bowl & Bistro. There are usually 16 to 18 teams, plus we have a great dinner. It is a great night out, and Dan Cassidy has some great questions about trivia.
Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
