About 15 lights on the pathway surrounding the skate park in Oak Bluffs were vandalized in recent weeks, according to parks commission chair Tony Lima. 

Several of the poles were painted and pulled apart, leaving some of the electrical components out in the open. Mr. Lima said that the town’s electrical contractor completed last week to ensure there were no electrical hazards. Mr. Lima also said that he is waiting for an itemized list from the contractor to confirm how much it will cost to make repairs. 

Parks manager Chris Joyce filed a police report earlier this week. Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment last week.
