The Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation has awarded $375,000 during its 2025 annual scholarship cycle to support the educational pursuits of 126 Islanders.

The organization noted in a statement that this is the largest amount of funding made available and the highest number of award winners.

This year’s awardees hold diverse interests and aspirations in fields such as environmental science and policy, building trades, mental health counseling, education, aviation, maritime engineering, law enforcement, financial services, and more. A significant number of applicants plan to pursue careers in medicine and health care, particularly nursing.

Since its inception in 1982, the community foundation has supported more than 2,200 individuals, providing them more than $5.5 million in scholarships.
