Porchfest returns this Saturday, with a lineup of musicians set to perform all over Edgartown.
The inaugural event took place last year, inspired by one that started in Ithaca, N.Y. almost 20 years ago. Since then it has caught on all over Massachusetts, including the Island.
This year’s porchfest begins at 11 a.m. with the Black Eyed Susans rocking outside the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club. From there, everyone is invited to wander through a magical musical tour all over town.
At noon, Sam & Darby are at Bad Martha’s and Donaroma’s, and Thomas Charles Clukey plays at Edgartown Commons.
At 1 p.m. enjoy Red Night Delight at Edgartown Public Library, and Michael Haydn at Harbor View Hotel.
John O’Toole takes over at 2 p.m. at Bad Martha’s and Donaroma’s, Rose Guerin is at Kenworthy, and Missus Biskis is at Eisenhauer Gallery.
At 3 p.m., Zea May & Friends perform outside Edgartown Books, Rick O’Gorman & George Davis play at The Federated Church, the Paul Thurlow Expedition is at Hob Nob Hotel, Sarah Shaw Dawson plays at Salte, and Bhakti is at Sea Spa Salon.
Beginning at 4 p.m., enjoy Jim & Larry at Bad Martha’s and Donaroma’s, Rose Guerin at the Eisenhauer Gallery, Willy Mason & The Alpha Gals at Rosewater Market, Chrysal Parrot at Vintage Wine & Spirits, and Steve M. & Tony P. at The Winnetu Oceanside Resort.
Seán McMahon & the Agreeable Men take over at 5 p.m. at the Eisenhauer Gallery, and Rick O’Gorman and George Davis play at the Harborside Inn.
Concluding the day of music is Dock Street Fight Club at 6 p.m. turning the volume up to 11 at the Memorial Wharf.
