Marking its 17th year serving the Martha’s Vineyard community, Clothes to Go, a nonprofit, volunteer run, free clothing boutique will host its third annual fashion show on June 27 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs.

The Clothes to Go fashion show will showcase a diverse range of clothing donated to the organization and will feature local models from ages 4 to 92.

“It’s more than just the clothes,” said Jennifer Wey Fiore, the director and founder of Clothes to Go. “It’s the connection that people make in our space.”

According to a statement released by Clothes to Go, approximately 8.5 per cent of people residing in Dukes County live below the poverty line. The organization, which was established in 2009, was created to provide those in need with a wide range of clothes to fit any occasion.

“That’s what we celebrate at the fashion show,” said Ms. Fiore. “We celebrate community.”

Clothes to Go offers anyone the opportunity to participate in the organization.

“We certainly serve folks who may not have a stable place to live and we certainly serve folks who don’t want to add more clothing to our environment and want to recycle, reuse or repurpose clothing,” said Ms. Fiore.

The organization is located in Vineyard Haven and accepts clothing donations throughout the year at the Stone Church basement on Mondays from 3 to 6 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
