The Oak Bluffs fireworks, scheduled for Friday evening, have been cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Town of Oak Bluffs announced the decision in a succinct social media post, stating the cancellation and "See You in 2027."

According to a forecast published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), rain and fog are expected to continue throughout the weekend.

The popular event is a summer staple each August.
