The Ceremony of Remembrance will be held at the Edgartown Lighthouse on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.

The annual event honors and remembers children who have died. The tradition was started in 2001, and over the years hundreds of stones have been laid at the base of the Edgartown Lighthouse, each engraved with a child’s name.

The event is sponsored by the Martha’s Vineyard Museum.
