Media Voices for Children, a local nonprofit focusing on children’s rights, is hosting a photographic exhibit and film screening on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse art space.

The photo exhibit is entitled Our Children and features photographs of children worldwide and on the Vineyard. The exhibit is curated by Melissa Blythe Knowles, with photographs by Ms. Knowles and U.R. (Robin) Romano.

The opening reception begins at 5:30 p.m.

Following the exhibit will be a screening of Children of Bal Ashram along with a Q&A with filmmakers Len and Georgia Morris. Children of Bal Ashram is a documentary on Sumedha Kailash and Nobel prizewinner Kailash Satyarthi, who together have rescued 88,000 children from bonded labor, trafficking and sexual abuse.
