The 104th Fighter Wing out of Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield will conduct training exercises on Tuesday, flying over Vineyard air space, assistant director of the Martha’s Vineyard airport Geoffrey Freeman said.

Mr. Freeman said the drills would take place sometime Tuesday and that Islanders should be aware that it was just a drill.

The National Guard base could not immediately be reached for comment.
