Islanders can still compost their food waste during the pandemic, according to Emily Armstrong of Island Grown Initiative. The collection bins at Thimble Farm have been moved to outside the fence while the farm is closed. The Chappaquiddick collection point has been moved to Chappy Point. Town refuse facilities accept food waste for $2 per five-gallon bucket.
