Martha’s Vineyard Community Services is receiving a $25,000 donation from Cape Cod 5, according to an announcement from the bank.

The contribution is part of a $500,000 commitment, half of it in immediate aid, to local relief efforts for southeastern Massachusetts residents affected by Covid-19, according to the bank.

Other recipients include the Community Foundation for Nantucket, the South Shore Community Action Council and the Needy Fund’s Cape & Islands Major Crisis Relief Fund.
