The weather finally feels spring-like with temperatures in the 80s over the weekend, two days of fog and calm breezes. Have you noticed the clearing of briars and poison ivy near the cliffs’ parking area? The goats did a wonderful job of clearing all the invasive plants.

The Manning family (Paul, Theresa and Noah) have opened Cliffhangers for the season. Missis Biskis and her accompanists will perform on Thursday evenings and there will be specials on the menu.

The annual Aquinnah town meeting will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 3 p.m. at the fire station parking lot. The annual town election will be held on Thursday, June 24 with the polls open from noon to 8 p.m. at town hall. Masks will be required. Applications for early voting by mail and absentee ballots are available and are due by 5 p.m. on June 18. Go to www.mass.gov for applications or call the town clerk at 508-645-2304. All early voting ballots and absentee ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on June 24. May 28 was the last day to register to vote in the town meeting. The last day to register to vote in the town election is June 14.

A candidate forum will be sponsored by the League of Women Voters on Wednesday, June 16 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to watch the forum live on MVTV and listen to the candidates present their positions. There will be a Zoom video conference on Tuesday, June 15 at 6 p.m. to discuss the annual town meeting warrant. See the Aquinnah town website for Zoom info.
