Thank you, Tim Johnson, for all the beautiful photography you share in the Gazette! It makes me feel like i'm on the island, even when I'm in the city.

Some time ago I stopped trying to explain to people I know or work with from around the world WHY this little island means so much to me. Words seem inadequate to me. And so I find myself just showing them the photos of Tim Johnson saved on my phone; the best of which are those of ordinary expressions of the people , sometimes animals, and the landscape which make this place a bit magical. That’s when people ‘get it’ - thanks to Tim Johnson’s creative and sensitive eye for the real Martha’s Vineyard.
