For the first time in two and a half years I visited with my son, Chris Clark, his wife, Lilly, and my two grandsons Corbyn and Dominic. Needless to say both boys are taller than I am now. They all looked great. Corbyn is a senior in high school. Dom is finishing his freshman year. What fun we had. The gang drove here from Rockford, Ill. in 16 hours. They returned in a more stately 19 hours. Same time, next year.
Rena Viera wished me a Merry Christmas. Then off she went to spend it with Bob and Robbie Gale. We are all missing Rita very much.
Wes Stokes is nursing his broken foot and learning to make pottery. This man never sits still.
Musician Rob Lytle is enjoying the holidays with his children. Rob is also nursing an injured leg but his spirit and prognosis is good.
Piper Murphy is enjoying the return of son Hollis Kelly from St. Michael’s College. Son Mercer is busy working out at the YMCA. Daughter Mary Afton is on our junior varsity basketball team. The next game on-Island will be at 3 p.m. on Jan. 5. The varsity game will follow. Piper and I will be there.
We so miss Arnie Reisman. The Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse is pleased to announce Susan Dicker has agreed to be chair. Arnie’s winter months Poetry Cafe will continue.
Our good friend Delores Borza is looking for home health care for her Mom, Marion. Please call Delores or me if you can help out.
Our library is offering take-and-make craft kits for adults. They will be available Sunday, Jan. 2. Start the new year with arts and crafts.
The birthday bandwagon pulled along George Davis, Cheri Harrington and Len Morris on Dec. 29. On Jan. 2, Anthony Masi takes the cake. Many happy returns.
