Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation is partnering with Dukes County Regional Housing and Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living to provide an additional $200,000 in relief support for housing and utility bills, it was announced Tuesday.
The regional housing authority will offer rental relief to Islanders who pay market-rate rents and are generally not eligible for assistance. Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living is administering utility support to Islanders struggling to pay heat and utility bills.
Aid is available through the foundation’s Rental Relief Fund and Utility Support Fund. The fund was created by the Commonwealth’s Community Foundations Grant Program for Covid-19 Relief and individual donors seeking to help Islanders through the pandemic.
