Barbara L. Shriber of Woodstock, N.Y. and Edgartown died Feb. 8 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She was 94.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1927 in Newark, N.J., the daughter of the late Harold and Irene Gartley. At one time, she owned and operated Hauler Bags in Kansas City, Mo. She was an active woman who dedicated her whole life to volunteerism to different organizations.

Survivors include daughter Nancee Shriber of Woodstock, N.Y. with whom she resided; her son Gartley Joshua Shriber and his wife Nicky of Kansas City, Mo.; sister Louise Thorpe of N.J.; grandchildren Julia Lewis and her husband Joseph, Anastasia, Chloe and Mason Shriber; and a great-grandchild, Finley Lewis.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. in Saugerties, N.Y.
