Island Food Pantry seeks monetary and grocery donations to help keep its shelves stocked through the next few months. A fundraising goal of $25,000 has been set.

The pantry is a food equity project of Island Grown Initiative. It makes healthy food accessible for free to anyone on Island who is in need. The program serves approximately 600 people a week at its location on Vineyard avenue in Oak Bluffs at the P.A. Club.

Monetary donations can be made on the pantry’s website at igimv.org.

The pantry has also posted a wish list of items that can be donated. The list includes toothpaste and toothbrushes, baby food, pet food and other dry and canned cabinet staples. The full list is on the igimv.org websie. Donated items can be left in the drop box outside the pantry.
