On Sunday August 7, David Berube, former pastor of the Federated Church of Martha’s Vineyard, will speak about the value of service dogs to military veterans with post-traumatic stress injury (PTSD). He will be accompanied by his service dog Vegas.

Mr. Berube served in the U.S. Air Force and as a Massachusetts Air National Guard chaplain for 21 years, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel. He served as minister for the Federated Church community from 2017 to 2019.

His presentation on August 7 will be held at 10:30 a.m. during the coffee hour following the Sunday church service. The Federated Church of Martha’s Vineyard is located at 45 South Summer street in Edgartown.
