Craig Stewart of West Tisbury recently received the best screenplay award at the San Pedro Film Festival in San Pedro, Calif. The award recognizes his script Three Rivers Meet which tells the story of a 19th century Native American woman who flees her reservation after receiving a vision. Three Rivers Meet also won best screenplay at the Carmel Film Festival and was accepted into the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival and the Tokyo Lift-Off Festival.

In addition to his creative work, Mr. Stewart has worked at Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands for 29 years.
