Healthy Aging MV, the Martha’s Vineyard Falls Prevention Coalition and TrailsMV are partnering to sponsor guided walks at three of the Island’s conservation areas as part of Falls Prevention Awareness Month. The walks are free and open to people at all levels of mobility.

Falls Prevention Awareness Month is a nationwide observance to raise awareness on reducing and preventing falls.

The walks will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sheriff’s Meadow Sanctuary in Edgartown, Saturday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at Mytoi on Chappaquiddick and Wednesday, Sept. 27 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Polly Hill Arboretum in West Tisbury. Registration is only required for the excursion at Mytoi.
