Sixteen regional high school students won a total of 22 awards at the 2024 Massachusetts Scholastic Art Awards.
The annual ceremony dates back to 1923, highlighting student work in numerous mediums and categories.
Hunter Broderick, Finn MacLeod and Odin Robinson took home gold key awards, the top category. Their work will be exhibited in a special statewide art show from March 16 to 23 at Breed Memorial Hall at Tufts University in Medford, and will go on to the national competition in New York City in the spring.
Isabel Carreno-Vogt, Olive Corcoran, Caleb Dubin, Claus Smith and Sam Warren earned Silver Key awards. Sam earned a Silver Key for a six-piece art portfolio entitled Asphyxiation, a competitive category open only to seniors.
Caleb also took home three honorable mention awards; Isabel, Claus and Finn earned one honorable mention. Other students winning honorable mentions include Molly Crawford, Linden MacLeod, Mathew MacMillan, Rodeo Purves-Langer, Katelyn Tankersley, Emmet Taylor and Brady Vought.
