Summer strength and conditioning sessions are going strong at Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.
In a new summer collaboration, physical therapists from Martha’s Vineyard Hospital have teamed up with the high school’s athletics department to provide student-athletes professional training as they prepare for their upcoming seasons. Sessions are held at the high school weight room each Tuesday and Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m.
The free program aims to improve athletes’ resiliency to injury, improve their performance in their sport and help them learn how to strength-train safely with expert movement analysis from physical therapists trained in sports and orthopedics.
The program continues through August 30.
