First Friday is here again, the once a month extravaganza of arts, food and fun held in Vineyard Haven. Events begin at 10 a.m. and keep rolling until late at night, ending with a silent disco from 9 to 11 p.m. at Owen Park.

It is a movable feast, starting with an arts market on Beach Street Extension. Discover hidden gems inside 51Art Gallery, the Miner Family Gallery, Woodfish, Althea Designs, The Workshop Gallery and more.

Main Street is the place to be, beginning at 2 p.m. when the music begins. David Mintz, Tristan Israel and Friends, and the Flying Elbows all perform. Horse-drawn carriage rides provide free tours from 5 to 7 p.m., thanks to Sonnyside Rides. Pickup area is at Mad Martha’s ice cream shop.

Owen Park is food central with food trucks opening their doors at 5 p.m. An artist and nonprofit market also make the scene, along with rock painting and more live music through 9 p.m. Silent disco dancing rounds it out.
