After a five-year absence following Covid isolation and the death of Alice Goyert, who founded the Festival of Wreaths in 2010, the event returns to the Federated Church on Dec. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m.

In preparation, there will be three wreath workshops from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 2, 3 and 4, held at the Federated Church Parish House, 45 South Summer street, Edgartown.

Volunteers are welcome to help decorate the 75 wreaths for sale during the festival.

Proceeds from the wreath sale on Dec. 5 benefit the Federated Church Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, which is used to help Islanders in need, especially during the winter months.
