The Vineyard boys tennis team has displayed utter dominance this season. Not only have they won all nine of their contests, but they’re also yet to lose an individual singles or doubles match.

After spring break, the boys defeated Falmouth, Monomoy and Sandwich without missing a beat. Monomoy has 10 wins so far this year, the only team they haven’t beaten is the Vineyarders, who swept them twice. Falmouth arrived with nine wins on the season, but the Vineyarders handed them their first winless contest as well.

Against the Sharks, Zak Potter won the first singles match 6-2, 6-1. Caleb Dubin won second singles 6-2, 6-3 and Kert Kleeman won third singles 6-1, 6-2. In doubles, Tommy Flynn and Kyle Levy won the first match 6-0, 6-4 and Nate Walsh and Henry Wansiewicz won the second 6-1, 6-1.

Next, the boys have back-to-back road matchups with Barnstable and Nauset on Wednesday and Thursday. They’ll be back home Saturday at 1 p.m. to take on Nantucket.

Don’t forget about the girls tennis team either, who are also undefeated and sit at second in the division three power rankings. With eight wins this year, the girls have gutted out some signature victories like this past Friday against Monomoy.

With their second and third singles matches going in favor of the Sharks, both Vineyard doubles tandems needed to win to secure victory. In their previous match against Falmouth, it was the same story: pressure on the doubles players to win it, and again they delivered.

In first singles, MV’s Laina Dubin won 6-0, 6-2. And then, in doubles play, Zoe Treitman and Leah Thompson won 6-3, 7-5 and Ella Moran and Clementine Zeender wrapped up the dub 6-2, 6-1.

The girls also have back-to-back matches this week against Barnstable and Nauset, except they will be home. Both matches start at 3 p.m.

The girls golf team has also been playing well lately and are two wins away from qualifying for the state tournament in their first year as a varsity sport.

Most recently, against Monomoy at Edgartown Golf Club, Piper Blau and Jocie Smith won their matchups and Callie O’Teri tied hers.

The girls have wins over Falmouth and Nauset as well this year, both coming on the road. On Thursday, they will rematch Nauset at home. Coach Mike Joyce said his young squad of eighth through twelfth graders has exceeded expectations. He also said the leadership of Senior Piper Blau has been invaluable.

The sailing team currently sits third in the Cape and Islands League standings with an overall record of 9-7 and a league record of 4-2.

After a rough stretch early on, the Vineyarders got back in the win column when they beat Hingham during a four-team meet at Lake Massapoag. Their next scheduled race is Wednesday against Tabor Academy at the Sailing Camp in Oak Bluffs.

The Baseball team fell to Falmouth and Foxborough in their most recent games but was victorious over Monomoy in their first game back after spring break. The Vineyarders beat the Sharks 4-1 as Eli Bryant tossed a seven-inning complete game with five strikeouts and only two hits. The one run allowed was unearned as well.

In the batter’s box, Leo Napier went 1-2 with two RBI and a run scored. Hunter Johnson went 2-4 with an RBI and Matt Day went 1-4 with an RBI as well.

On Wednesday, the boys get another crack at Barnstable, who beat them 3-2 earlier in the season on the Cape. First pitch is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.

After stringing together three wins before spring break, the boys lacrosse team has unfortunately been on the other side of the equation since returning to action. They’ve faced some tough competition and lost to Falmouth, Barnstable and Nauset.

On Friday, they will be on the road for a rematch with Milford, who narrowly got the best of the Vineyarders in the first home game of the season. They return home to play Moses Brown on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The girls lacrosse team has also run into hard times since returning from break. Things started off well when they defeated Sturgis East 12-3, but since then, they’ve lost three in a row.

In the win against the Storm, Charlotte Scott had four goals, Ava Mikos and Annabelle Metell scored twice and Bea Welch, Lily Haynes, Lizzy Chvatal and Abby Geary also put points on the board. Alex Royal made seven saves in net.

On Thursday, the girls will take on Falmouth Academy at home at 3 p.m.

The track and field squad has a few more meets to go until the Cape and Islands Championship later this month. Last week, they were on the Cape to take on Nauset on Tuesday.

The boys 4x400 relay team of Mason Burns, Luis Costa, Nicholas Gomes and Broden Vincent beat the Warriors squad by half a second for the gold. Kaniel Morgan also secured first place in discus with a 126’3 throw. Madison Mello also brought home a gold in shot put with a 35’4 toss and placed second in discus with a 89’11 toss.
