Logan is the great-grandson of James Heine, Donald BenDavid and his wife, Jody, Jeannine Goode and Shirley McCarthy. He is the brother of Robbie and Ryleigh, and most excitedly, the grandnephew of yours truly.

From the Vineyard Gazette files of Feb. 8, 1952: “Monday night, at a special meeting called by the president, Mrs. Linus S. Jeffers, the Aquinnah Club, with 12 members present and three absent, voted unanimously for the U.S. Lighthouse lens being kept here at Gay Head. There was an open meeting at the town hall Tuesday night to determine what the feeling of the townsfolk was in regard to the U.S. lighthouse lens. It is unthinkable that any Gay Header be opposed to its being kept in this town. From the time of the City of Columbus, when our brave men were the first to go to aid those in distress, to the present, those lenses looked down upon us, shedding their beautiful rays. I remember a winter visitor who laughingly asked us seven children, ‘What is the best light on the coast?’ Of course we proudly and promptly answered, ‘The Gay Head Light’ and were we disgusted when he said, ‘No, daylight.’”
