Great flowers are shooting up all over! I meant to get to the Hebrew Center’s second night Seder but couldn’t. However, Renae Brown and her girls, Cheyenne and Monique, had me over for a lovely Easter dinner the next day, with quite a few surprises. I can say no more.
Clara Rabbitt recently returned from Holmes Beach, Fla., where she spent three months with her friend Anna Hijarm from Tolland, Conn. They went to Punta Gorda with their friend Laura Bolger to meet Laura’s niece and her friends. Then they took a trip to Venice, Fla., with their neighbors, Marlene and Eileen. The ladies also visited Brooksville to see some water view property that Eileen’s nephew owns. They ate out always on these adventures. January was cool but by March it was in the 80s and quite hot. Melinda DeFeo, Clara’s granddaughter, flew down the last week in March to relax and enjoy the beach. Clara and Melinda returned well-rested at the end of March. Welcome back, Clara!
I am usually a Leno, not a Letterman, fan but I made an exception last night for the wonderful guest appearance on Dave’s show of two of my faves, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. It brought me back to that night, was it ‘94? when I went to the old Boston Garden with tickets for Larry Bird night. Magic, of course, appeared. It was a true love fest. These gentlemen made and played the game I love most.

What great news from the Mansion House! Ever sensitive to its clients needs, the Mansion House will be opening eight pet friendly rooms in July. Now that’s the kind of progress I like to hear.
Get well wishes go out to my young friend Ryan Laslovitch, who has been suffering terribly from ear infections. He is finally back at school. Rest up during vacation next week, Ryan.
The birthday bandwagon pulls along Barbara Kunzelman and Taylor Gramkowski today. Tomorrow belongs to Rita McKenna Kean, Emily Brown and William Diamond. Patriots’ Day is a party for Max Clark Balco, Nate Lee, Lynne Whiting, Alexander Shultz and Laurie Jennings. And on April 19 Eleanor Hebert, Carter Lee, Bob Tankard and Mary Marshall take the cake.
