It is Wednesday and what a day it was. The sun was shining and it was nice to be outside. We can only hope this weather keeps up so we can all keep the smiles on our faces.
Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Amelia Durawa, and Maria Menezes, who celebrated their day March 26; Alexander Vukota on March 28; Sara Creato, and Jared Davenport on March 29; Kylie Hatt and Jaclynn Trapp on March 30; Hollis Kelly on March 31; and to Peter Vincent, who celebrates his day today April 1.
Special birthday wishes go out to our neighbor Jim Kresel, who celebrated his day March 30, and to Pam Dolby’s husband, who celebrated his day March 31.
We have to give Sharky’s a shout out this week as they have become a nice Island restaurant. Not only for themselves, but they give a lot back to the community. They are always helping people by giving a portion of food proceeds to local causes. This week was no different as Tuesday night the proceeds went to the girls’ high school hockey team. Thank you, JB, for all you do to help this community.
Shannon Dolby Smith and her daughter, Addie, and son, Andrew, were here as Addie was on school break and was able to celebrate with Papa Dolby on his birthday.

Guest speakers will be Ruth Cronig Stiller and her daughter, Gayle Stiller, presenting the influence and contributions of the Jewish community on Martha’s Vineyard. Tickets are $25. For reservations, call director Leslie Clapp at 508-939-9440.
I was talking to Jan Norton the other night and she was telling me about her menagerie of wildlife in her backyard. She has ducks, geese, birds, and whatever needs food will find her. She has a big heart where her animals are concerned and it shows. One of her stories this week was that she has two Toulouse Geese and one is Ethel and the other Lucy. Well, now she thinks Lucy is Louie as the two have been very friendly and Ethel is now laying eggs. The last time this happened, Ethel’s eggs were placed under a Banta chicken and everything went well until the geese went into the pond and the poor hen almost passed out.
Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
