The Vineyard Playhouse will hold open auditions for its summer main stage season on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the playhouse on Church street in downtown Vineyard Haven.

Directors are seeking AEA and non-equity actors of all ethnic backgrounds. The season includes Stephen Belber’s comedy Tape, directed by Claudia Weill; Coming2Terms, a contemporary new play written and directed by Bill C. David, and Joann Green Breuer celebrates the 100th aniversary of Tennessee Williams by directing two of his greatest plays and early and late theatrical adventures. There will also be an African American Festival of theatre and music, with a new play by Kathleen McGhee-Anderson called Five Mogo Secrets and another by Gus Edwards called Two Old Black Guys Just Sitting Around Talking.

Actors may make an appointment in advance or sign up for an appointment at the theater during the scheduled hours. Come prepared to perform a short monologue or read from sides of scripts provided at the auditions.
