Time to get out of the house and into someone else’s house. Houses, actually.
It’s the first Vineyard Haven house tour hosted by the Martha’s Vineyard Museum taking place Saturday, June 25 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The event kicks off at the Katharine Cornell Theatre with a lecture by local historian James Norton and author of Walking in Vineyard Haven. A lunch of lobster rolls will be served at Grace Church. The tour includes five historic homes with a focus on specific architecture styles, preservation efforts and historic qualities of all the houses.
The cost for the lecture and tour is $45 and $35 for just the tour. A limited number of special patron tickets are available that include admission to the houses an hour early, beginning at noon, and a champagne reception at the last house. Patron tickets are $100.
