Marie C. (Bizier) Lawton of Oak Bluffs and Fall River, widow of Philip D. Lawton, died Sunday, June 12, 2011. She was 89.

A member of ILGWU, she was employed by Louis Hand Manufacturing for 30 years. An avid Red Sox fan and animal lover, she enjoyed cooking and her home on the Vineyard.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne (Mailloux) Coughlin of Hull and Christine Ayer of Somerset; grandchildren Jackie Post, Allison and Stacey Pikiell, Jennifer Rimick, Jonathan and Justine Ayer; grandchildren Timothy Coughlin and Kimberly Pardoe; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Janet (Mailloux) Pikiell; and the sister of the late Frederick (Pete) Bizier and Anita Pikiell.

Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Saturday, July 9, at 9 a.m. in St. Anne Church, 750 South Main street in Fall River.
