Music and Lyrics

The Vineyard Haven library presents Poetry in Music: a performance featuring the vocal talents of Naomi Arenberg, Stephanie Miele and others, on Wednesday, April 7 at 7 p.m. The evening’s themes concern nature, love and the sea.

Ms. Arenberg, a local host for All Things Considered on the Cape and Islands’ National Public Radio station, WCAI, and Stephanie Miele will sing selected poems that have been set to music. The singers will be accompanied by keyboard, guitar and concertina. Selected works include This Little Rose, by Emily Dickinson; The Pasture, by Robert Frost; and Evening of Roses, by Erev Shel Soshanim; as well as pieces from Leonard Cohen, A.E. Housman and Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
