Alison Smith, 29, of Boston and formerly of Edgartown died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 9, at Tufts Medical Center. She was the daughter of Gary J. and Beth (Maisano) Smith of Edgartown and the sister of Meredith Smith. She was the granddaughter of Elizabeth Smith of Providence, R.I. Alison was also survived by her aunt, Anne Masse of Bristol, R.I., and aunt and godmother, Donna Latondress of Burrillville, R.I., and uncle and godfather, William J. Maisano 2nd of Bristol, R.I.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral mass in St. Elizabeth’s Church on Main street in Edgartown on Friday, May 14 at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Thomas Lopes. Interment will follow in the New Westside Cemetery in Edgartown.
Afterwards a potluck reception will be held at the Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury; please bring a dish.
Visiting hours were held in the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Oak Bluffs on Thursday, May 13 from 4 to 7 p.m.
