The Pews Are Alive . . .

Every summer a chorus of college boys crosses Vineyard Sound to become The Vineyard Sound, the a cappella group that has been bee-bopping and doo-wopping for 17 years, almost every night of the week. If it’s Tuesday, it must be Chilmark; Thursday it’s the Federated Church in Edgartown. On Friday, the Sound comes to St. Andrew’s in Edgartown and on Mondays to the Methodist church on the Camp Ground. The song list varies every night, but the quality does not. It’s a classic Vineyard evening for all ages.
