Martha’s Vineyard Sharks general manager Jerry Murphy announced on Wednesday that the summer collegiate baseball club has entered into its first corporate partnerships, with local restaurant Sharky’s Cantina and organic food supplier Greensbury Market signing sponsorship agreements this week.

Sharky’s Cantina, a year-round, family restaurant with locations in Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, will be the official sponsor of Sharky, the team mascot. Sharky will appear at all of the club’s games, as well as at community events sponsored by the team and the restaurant throughout Martha’s Vineyard. Sharky’s Cantina will also sell Sharks team apparel at both restaurant locations.

Greensbury Market, a Maryland-based food company specializing in organic meat, has signed on to provide concession items during Sharks’ games.

The specialty concession stand will feature grass-fed beef burgers, free-range chicken sandwiches, organic sausages and organic hot dogs from Greensbury Market.
