Union Chapel is pleased to welcome Dr. Charles G. Adams Sr., pastor of Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit, Mich., as its guest preacher this Sunday. He brings with him the Hartford Male Chorus as a guest choir. The chapel is located at the south end of Kennebec and Circuit avenues in Oak Bluffs. The nondenominational service begins at 9:45 a.m. and welcomes everyone.

Membership in the Hartford Memorial church numbers 10,000. Dr. Adams has an extensive resume indicating his active involvement in economic development programs in the Detroit area as well as his positions as summer instructor in Homiletics at Andover Newton School of Theology and co-instructor at Boston University School of Theology.

Dr. Adams has published many sermons, given many lectures at prestigious educational institutions, written for the Michigan Chronicle, presented commencement and baccalaureate addresses and won many awards. He has been named one of the 15 greatest black preachers in an extensive media poll conducted by Ebony Magazine. His speaking engagements are numerous and have included locations around the world.
