Spring is getting near. We have changed our clocks for the season and the longer days of light have been a welcome relief. Families are still returning from their vacations. The red-winged blackbirds have been around for about two weeks and their friends have welcomed them in a chorus each morning. Thoughts of spring cleaning have been on our minds. Daffodils appear ready to sprout and the temperature has reached 50 degrees this week.
Congratulations to our Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School basketball team and their coaches Mike Joyce and Jason O’Donnell and Alex McCluskey. They should all be very proud of their accomplishments. Of course, Mike and Eleanor Hebert attended the games and watched their grandson Kane Araujo (#22) play at the TD Garden. A very proud moment for all.

The dates are Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Chilmark Library on March 20, March 27 and April 3. The Aquinnah Public Library is excited to be going live with CLAMS on April 2. Patrons are able to come in now and set up their CLAMS account. The next series of dinner and a movie for kids will begin on March 21.
