The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard has three cats and one kitten waiting to find homes.
The kitten is Miss Moppit, an adorable 15-week-old medium long-haired tortoiseshell who will be ready to go to her new home in a few weeks after she is spayed. She is playful and sweet and loves to be close to anyone willing to play with her. Please come to see her. Hazel is a lovely tortoiseshell cat just the right size for a lap . Rosie is fairly new to the shelter, a big tuxedo cat who will be vet checked this week and ready to go to her new home. Simon is a handsome, big older tiger cat with white paws and a loving spirit. He is friendly and loves to be held.
With spring also come kittens. If you are interested in a kitten, please put your name on the shelter’s wish list and you will be called when one is available.
Shelter hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday and Monday. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.
